Five-color enameled wucai porcelain vase, China, transitional period, 17th century Decorated with four hanging lanterns, two of round shape decorated with rocks of the Earth rising from the waves of the Ocean and two of quadrangular shape decorated with a qilin; on each side of the lanterns fall trimmings made of precious objects and ribbons. Friezes of peonies, lotus and foliage decorate the neck, shoulder and bottom of the vase. The unglazed bottom.
