Small Buddha in gilded lacquered wood. With a serene expression on his face, he is seated in Dhyanasana, his missing arms stretched forward probably in a mudra. At the back, a trap door was made in order to insert prayers and other offerings at the time of his consecration. It does not appear to have been opened. It was mounted in two parts fixed at the thighs and was repaired with a triangle key fixed underneath. China late Ming period (Wear, repairs, missing arms) H. 21 cm
