CHINA, 20th c Large rectangular wooden chest covered with red and gold lacquered leather. Decorated in relief with a shou sign surrounded by seven bats on the front side with two brass clasps. The two small sides, flanked by a handle, each show two shou signs and two bats in relief. The other sides are without decoration.
