A pair of baluster-shaped vases in coral-glazed porcelain with gilded decoration of flowers, foliage and banana leaves. The body is adorned with four poly-lobed cartouches, decorated in the famille rose style on a white background with scenes of people in gardens. Above each cartouche is a butterfly enamelled in polychrome enamel. The underside is enameled in turquoise blue. China, 19th century European gilt repoussé copper mounts. H. 23.5 cm (Restorations)
