Klaa for confirming the authenticity of this work, based on a digital photograph, in April 2024. They compare our composition with a very similar one sold at Christie's, New York, 2001 (see P. and R. Miquel, Narcisse Diaz de La Pena. Catalog raisonné de l'œuvre peint, Courbevoie, 2006, no. 2282). In our painting, a beam from the roof of the pergola (behind the raptor's left wing) does not appear in any of the other paintings in the series.
