Precious two-tone seal in yellow gold 750 ‰ decorated with Greek friezes and laurel leaves. Faceted and gadrooned citrine socket recessed, the seal is also formed by an oval citrine adorned with a very fine intaglio engraved coat of arms of Marquis Théophile GUILHEM de POTHUAU known as the Marquis de Pothuau (1849 - 1925). The marquis's crown is surmounted by a standing lion holding a sword, and the escutcheon below is shouldered on either side by an eagle with outstretched wings, all resting on a ribbon adorned with a legend: Azure, a fess embattled Or, masoned Sable, in base a spur wheel Argent.
