* Kutch aba ceremonial dress, North India, Gujarat, mid-19th century Blue silk dress woven and sewn in several strips, with embroidered decoration on the bib and sleeves of colored silk threads including mirrors and forming a floral mandorla. One side slit, colored silk inserts on sleeves. Brown cotton lining on shoulders and sleeves. Length with sleeves: 103.5 cm - H. 113 cm (small snags, one button missing from the closure, a few stains) A similar dress is in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London (4559(IS)).
