Clock in chased, patinated and gilded bronze, decorated with an allegory of learning. The rectangular base rests on four scrolled feet with interlacing frieze, trumpet of fame and laurel wreaths. The dial, at the foot of which rests a nemesis-capped head, supports a woman draped in antique style, holding a table in her left hand.
