Godillot" sculpture In wood (walnut), monoxylated and carved directly with chisels and a gouge from a block of wood, still joined at the heel. A clogmaker's work, beautifully imitating a high shoe (called a "godillot"), in the round, with patches and reinforcements and a cotton lace (probably a contemporary addition). The wooden block has holes (to accommodate tools?). Late 19th - early 20th century Dimensions : 29 cm
