A copy by typographer Pierre Jean Mathan, who collaborated with Pierre Bouchet on the book's layout and typography, bearing number 119. It is enriched with this autograph letter signed by the author on the false title: "Pour Monsieur Pierre-Jean Mathan, // qui aime aussi les arbres et les bêtes libres, // en trait d'union d'une forêt à l'autre // Maurice Genevoix." The copy also includes 2 engravings signed and dedicated by Beaufrère to Pierre Bouchet, one numbered 18/35 and the other as a state proof, a 1949 greetings card from Papeteries du Marais, illustrated with an etching by the artist, printed in an edition of 300, 4 LAS from Beaufrère to Pierre Bouchet on the book, two with an original etching, and 3 copies of the menu illustrated with an etching by Beaufrère.
