Edition of 300 copies, illustrated with 18 original color lithographs by painter and engraver Pierre AMBROGIANI (1907-1985), 12 full-page and 6 double-page. One of the artist's copies, on Arches vellum, offered to typographer Pierre Jean Mathan, who printed the text in collaboration with Pierre Bouchet. It includes this autograph letter signed on the false title: "to Monsieur Pierre Mathan // my sincere thanks // Pierre Ambrogiani". Spine of slipcase faded, otherwise a very well preserved copy.
