A rare edition of only 150 copies on Arches vellum, published by Charles Miguet and produced entirely in Pierre Bouchet's workshops. It is illustrated with 50 color compositions by painter and illustrator Lucien SIMON (1861-1945), wood-engraved by Pierre Bouchet himself. The preface by Louis Barthou is in the original edition. A chapel copy, unnumbered, one of the very few on japon impérial, among the very first editions. At the head is a bookmark with handwritten indications, probably in Pierre Bouchet's hand: "Exemplaire complet. 1° to be cleaned. - 2° retouch almost all engravings, etc.".
