Fine edition illustrated with 68 original compositions by sculptor and engraver Henri LAURENS (1885-1954), including one on the cover, 43 in the text and 24 full-page woodcuts, some enhanced with gold. The text, printed by Pierre Bouchet, is decorated with line breaks composed by the artist and printed in gold.
