Large cloisonné enamel on copper box with turquoise blue background, China XIX-XXth century The box is decorated on all sides. The lid features, in polychrome enamel, a dragon and a phoenix facing each other, symbols of the Emperor and Empress. The edges of both the lid and the base feature alternating red- and blue-ground reserves with floral and butterfly motifs, as well as swastika motifs in copper wire. The inner walls follow the same theme as the top and rims, but with a different color palette. The underside is decorated with butterflies, rocks and flowering trees on a swastika background. D. 33 cm
