Inro in lacquered wood, Japan, 19th century with four compartments, ro iro (black) lacquered base, inlaid with aogai and gold leaf, decorated with a rooster in bamboo. The interior in nashiji lacquer. Ojime and hako netsuke in black lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlay with shippo motif for the ojime and floral and butterfly decoration for the netsuke.
